Malias stats

Malia had her well child check up today and I was nervous. Shes always been quite timid at the doctor and ends up screaming. But today she did fabulous, she was talking the nurses ears off and when the Dr walked in she said "hello doctor, what is your name?" and continued to have a conversation with him throughout the entire apt.. well until he tried to clean the wax that I cant get to and he stopped right away because her ears are so sensitive and she (and this was hilarious) Folded her arms 1 at a time with a lot of tude, then put her chin down and stared him down.. we both cracked up. It is her new thing and while it usually ticks me off it was pretty dang cute!
So he was very impressed with her speech and all that she knows, colors, alphabet, numbers, reading etc. So he has zero concerns for her!! She weighed in at 28 lbs and is 35.5 inches which put her at about 35% for both.
She ended up getting 2 shots which she was not pleased with but then I got my flu shot and it seemed to make her feel better! She was pretty tired after her nap and her leg was hurting so she cuddled up on the couch with her blanket and I thought it was pretty sweet, especially when she cracked a grin for the photo!
She really is a doll, she is a challenge at times but Im pretty sure its just because shes so damn smart!! Love this girl so much!! And I am always amazed with how smart she is and how healthy she is considering all the warnings we got about all the issues she was most likely going to have.. seriously this girl is amazing!

New Ride?

These are courtesy of Rich's cell! We were test driving what might be our new car. I sold mine today and we are still on the fence between 2 different vehicles. I was a little sad to see my car leave. We have kept it for a whopping 3 years (almost) which is a record for us, we usually trade every year or less than a year, but we havent this last one. But it went to a friend so I will still get to visit the ol friend lol!

Ive been so busy editing the last week 4 different sessions that I am all photo'd out which is good since I get a nice break now!! I will try to update my sessions tomorrow though.

Xmas card attempt 2

Well we attempted some Christmas pics a few days ago but the weather was just to cold to get a smile out of the girls so we rushed back out this morning after Rich's meetings to try again. It was super bright of course but we dealt with it. Of course after the kids were done the clouds came over so even though Malia was DONE Rich and I made Kaden be our photographer!!
Im not sure Im totally happy with these pics either but they are gonna have to do!

After church we started to decorate for Christmas. We all LOVE decorating our own trees while listening to some Josh Groben's Noel CD. Malia is still afraid of that Santa this year which means another year of not worrying about her destroying my tree.. except now we have Lucy to worry about!

Rich surprised me with some new outdoor decorations and he FINALLY bought me red and white lights for the house and they look awesome.. except we need a few more to finish ha!

Cousins

We had a great time having family in town! We dont have family close so when we can get together its always so nice and the kids have a blast!!
We did a lot of hanging out, playing pool, rocking out on the wii, watching movies and just laughing at the kids being crazy and a couple photo sessions!

A Thankful Thanksgiving

I have so so many things to be Thankful for on this Thanksgiving.
I have this amazing family, I have really great kids like seriously great kids. And I have an amazing husband, seriously great husband, not just the kind you put up with but the kind you know you are lucky to have grabbed on to.
I have a really great house that I get to live in and be warm and safe in, where my kids are safe in a great neighborhood. I sometimes forget what a car brat I am and how lucky I am to drive a nice vehicle that never breaks down and always gets me and everyone else Im taking to where we need to go.
I have great siblings (well there are a few turds in the bunch and they know who they are lol) and am so thankful that my sis and her family joined us this year, we would have been really bored otherwise!
I am thankful for the fabulous meal we had. I am thankful to my mom who passed down some really good recipes, we enjoyed some really yummy frog eye salad and some really great veggie dip.... so thanks mom, I hope you had a great meal today.
I was able to go and fill 3 carts of food to feed us all and we all ate really well today and when I am shopping I dont think about how lucky I am to be able to just go and do that but I really am so thankful the my Heavenly Father has given us so much and that we have all of these wonderful blessings.
And that brings me to the Gospel, I am so lucky to have the Gospel in my life I know that my life would be messy without it and I am so blessed and enriched for having it.

Last night I dragged Becki and Ky to boot camp with me, it was so much fun! We got our butts handed to us but it sure made eating all this crap a little less guiltfulfilled!!

Weve been playing Rock band all night and its pretty funny hearing us all sing!
