CATS

Maddie had a dance performance today in Boulder. It was her last day with this dance company... I know I know!! We are moving her AGAIN.. I am becoming one of those mothers YUCK!! While we really love the atmosphere and the teachers at Mountain it just wasnt as competitive or at the level she was used to dancing at and we realized that we needed to start searching again. So I made a call to Dance Dimensions.. I well known studio but one our last studio had kind of bad mouthed. But I decided what the heck. I gave them a call and I soon realized everything I had heard was wrong. They had a dance work shop they wanted her to attend to see how we felt and what they thought of her and we were very happy and so were they so on Monday she will be starting there!!
I am excited, they are very accomplished and get so many awards they are running out of room on their walls!! Im glad Maddie will be challenged again and she is excited too!!

Watch Doggie dog

NO we didnt add a dog now! LOL But Rich was a Watch Dog at Maddies school today! They encourage dads to come in a help since normally its the moms that do it. So they have put together this really neat program to get dads more involved. So today was Rich's turn to go in with Maddie and spend the day with her class and help through out the school!
He is exhausted lol but Maddie was so so happy. She has been counting down the days and was pretty happy to have him all to herself all day!
I sure missed him on his day off but I sure am happy to have such a great hubby that is willing to go in and do this for the whole day!

Cat lady

I promise not to turn into a cat lady but shes really sweet! She pretty much hid all day again today but tonight after Malia went to bed she decided to come out and play and was loving the attention! She so far has finally pee'd in her box and Im hoping tomorrow to find a number twosie.. its like having a freaking baby who am I!? LOL

Anyways we are really enjoying her! She seemed to be a lot more relaxed tonight!

Malia isnt nuts about the cat like I thought she would be, she goes nuts whenever she sees dogs so I thought it would be the same but its so nice not having to worry about her hurting the cat or getting scratched. She does pet her but just isnt all over her!
But this is the scene for the most part today..

But Rich has a way with pets, kids, and generally anyone.. hes a calming person! So Lucy was loving on him!

Meet Lucy

So I think anyone who knows me is gasping right now but yes we bit the bullet and got a cat for the kids. She is almost 2 and we met her yesterday and adopted her this afternoon!
She is doing really well so far!! She hid under the couch for most of her time here until tonight when we took her to the bathroom where she LOVES being in the tub (no water) and decided its pretty nice getting attention!
She likes feeling safe and secure so the big open areas like the living room kinda freak her out and she likes to hide but I was really pleased with how sweet she was with all of us tonight!
So as long as she doesnt decide that pooping and peeing all over my carpet is fun shes a keeper!!
The kids of course are ecstatic, they have been begging for this forever! So woohoo!

Dad's View's

The pics are in reverse order, but you'll ge the idea..Malia has this habit of coming over and getting as close to me as possible to yell, sing or chat as soon as I pick up a phone call. And this girl has no quiet voice.

This girl does have a sweet singing voice though. When we were trick or treating she looked up and saw a star, so we got to hear twinkle twinkle little star for about 10 min. She can pick up any song off the radio after hearing it once and second time..singing right along!

I HEART FALL

I was a little inspired today with the warm light we were getting in the backyard and how cute my girls are! Malia wasnt really cooperating so I focused on Maddie in most of these and I love how her eyes turned out!! I also learned a new trick in PS which Im pretty excited about!
Arent they sweet.. every time I look at a different photo I think geeze I should have entered THAT one into IHF. Dang!

I Heart Faces Fall

I haven't done anything with I Heart Faces for quite a few months but this week is kind of a freebie because there is no judging and the theme is fall and after taking pics of the girls outside this afternoon in this gorgeous fall light I was inspired!
I absolutely love fall. Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons, but the downfall to Fall is that everything is dying and it can get depressing. But when I see the leaves on the ground and all the gorgeous colors it keeps me inspired and reminds me of the beauty in life sometimes goes away but it always comes back.. be patient!
My backyard is my favorite place to be during fall, I love the sound of the waterfall, the colorful restling leaves, and the perfect jacket weather.
