Gratitude

So my plan for this month was to finish the year the way I started it, with gratitude by sharing each day something I am thankful for. Obviously I have been a slacker and never got to that part of my goal. So I will start today and finish out the year by being Thankful!
Ive been thinking about friendship a lot lately. Friendship isnt always easy, there are always emotions and personalities involved and even as you get older it seems that it can get messy. I always remember hearing in High School that for every handful of friends you have out of that handful there is probably not more than 1 or 2 true friends and I found that to be very true. I just find it hard to find people who match personality wise, goal wise, interests, and all sorts of things and then when your married you have to throw in spouses and try to match couples instead of just duos. Not easy!
Anyways my point is, is that even though friendships arent easy, I am truly thankful for the true friendships that I have. My friends throughout my life have helped shape me into the mom, wife, sister, Christian, and friend that I am now. I am thankful for these friends who have been tried and true friends, stuck with me through thick and thin without judgements and back stabbing.
I know it is not easy to always be a friend, sometimes you are tested beyond belief but when you are a true friend it is more rewarding during those hard times. So to my true friends I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there through thick and thin, when Im moody, down, happy, sassy, and through all my faults. You know who you are and I love and appreciate you more than you know!

Today we took it easy. Kaden had a little GF come and spend some time hanging out which was pretty cute, and my favorite part was hearing the girls sneak up on them and then run away giggling! Nothing compared to my little brother pulling down his pants and chasing my friends around the house!!!
And when Rich got home we went and snuggled on the couch to watch the movie Despicable Me.. which is an adorable movie!

I dont know what is going on with her hair this week.. I do it and redo it a few times a day and when I pull out the camera she looks like she just woke up.. tomorrow I will get a good pic!

I feel like I have known you for a long time, but at the same time I feel like I am just starting to know the real you... Does that make sense? I think you are a wonderful friend to me and I am blessed to have you in my life. Friendship is a wonderful thing!

I'm going to try again. ;) I very much appreciate our friendship. Some of my funnest memories are things we've done together- whether that be in groups large or small. I feel lucky to be able to call you a friend. Remember friendships should not be work, I found that out the hard way. True friends make our lives easier not harder. :)

Amen to Erica's comment, friendship shouldn't be work. You're the best friend I've ever had. I count you closer than family. I've heard plenty of stories about friendships that fade due to distance. I'm proud that we've stayed close despite the miles. Thanks for always listening when I need an ear to hear my most intimate details and my most boring ones too! You're the best Kris ever!

I too am grateful for friends! Without them I would be insane! At this time of year, the simple and sweet things of friendship make all the difference. I am thankful that we are friendships that are easy and fun. Thanks for your sweet friendship and for being my friend!!

Thanks for the nice craft night--just what I needed after a long week! You are such a great listener--one of the BEST qualities in a friend. Hope I've been able to do the same for you.
